Ems tells us why she wanted to get involved.....

"I find the process really interesting in itself, and also love the fact that we can use a difficult experience for us as a family to try and help others - that feels like purpose and making a small but lasting positive impact on the world! I love what you and the team are doing, delighted and privileged to help in any way that we can!"

Welcome

to everyone
from Canada!

The UK IMPACT team (please see our teams page for who we all are) have been working with the amazing Rheumatology team at SickKids in Canada, especially Dr Knight, Professor Feldman and many others, including Asha and her fab research team.

Here is Dr Knight and myself (Dr Livermore) during my visit in October 2024.

We have now conducted 5 focus groups with parents and caregivers from Canada to tell us about their experiences and what they think works well and what doesn't work so well. This has been so invaluable to help us understand how to offer better support to families across the world. We are now working through this data.

Thank you for your interest and support in improving care for all families living with any rheumatic disease of childhood.
